We have just launched our new website design!  It’s amazing how long it takes to get a new site up and how much work it is.  I’m exhausted, my eyes hurt, I’ve gained pounds sitting for so long in front of the computer, sniffle sniffle poor me… Since Lisa and I are going to take a few days off before Thanksgiving, it’s a good time to be exhausted.  Take a look at the new site and let me know what you think!  Compliments? Today we have some photos form Marissa + Chris’s lovely wedding. The ceremony was at their own church, the Church of the Epiphany, in San Francisco.  I always like when people are married in the church they attend, it adds a lot of personal meaning to the photos.  After the church, the whole wedding party was off to Stanford for some photos in the quad around the Memorial Church, which is always such a beautiful location for pictures.  They are such a sweet couple, we wish them only the best in life and hope all their dreams come true.

A couple people have asked for pictures of our lovely little girl in her Halloween costume, so here you go!

So Cute!!!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session for a really great couple, Teri + Robert.  The wonderful thing about being in this business is that even though we plan things out, I never really know ahead of time what then photos will look like.  In this case we set out for some shots at a cafe, and Teri had the great idea of heading to the cafe in the Zoetrope building in North Beach.  After a little espresso and some pictures, we were all energized and ready to head to the chilly Embarcadero for some shots with the skyline.  Teri + Robert kept up a great energy and were able to relax and be themselves in front of the camera.  Once the sun went down (which is ridiculously early these days) we went downtown for a last couple of shots.

I think the photos have a very cosmopolitan look, so I converted quite a few to black and white to add to that look.  Now that the photos are online for Teri + Robert to see, I get the fun task of waiting on pins and needles to hear if they are happy  I hope so!

How do you spell “trapeze”?  Well, it doesn’t really matter how you spell it ‘cuz it’s sooo cool, and Charlene + Chris had a trapeze artist at their amazing wedding.  Everything started off at the Hotel Kabuki in Japantown then it was off to the beautiful, modern cathedral, St Mary’s.  After a quick trip downtown for some wedding party shots and “Romantics” (pictures of the newlyweds together) we headed to the SF Design Center.  Michelle Barrionuevo did an AMAZING job with the design and planning, but don’t take my word for it take a look at the photos below or click here to see the slideshow.

Marina + Peter were married at the lovely Wente Vineyards in Livermore which was the perfect setting for Marina’s bold, retro, passionate vision for her wedding.  Black, white and red were the colors for the day and they stood out perfectly in the lush vineyard setting.    Lisa + I often comment that we have the best couples of the wedding business and Peter + Marina were no exception.  They were so great to work with both on the engagement session and on their wedding day.  I hope they felt the same about us  

Here is probably the best breakdancing kid we’ve ever seen!

OK, here are some more from Lisa + Michelle’s awesome multi-day, multi-city wedding.  Featured here we have some shots from the Palm Springs pool party at the Hotel Rendezvous.  So much fun!  I want to go back!  

As promised here,  I now bring you more photos from Lisa + Michelle’s wonderful 3 day wedding celebration.  This post is of photos from the Wayfarer’s Chapel on the cliff’s above the ocean in Los Angeles.  Lisa + Michelle were absolutely adorable on their wedding day, nervous and joyful, (as they should be).    

Lisa had her wedding dress hand made from a retro dress pattern.

Lisa + Michelle had their own version of a “first sight”.  As soon as all their guests were seated, Lisa came around the corner of the chapel where Michelle waited just outside the doors  They had a moment together, then entered the church hand in hand.

(Did anyone know that Lisa + I were married at the Wayfarer’s Chapel?  Probably not, but it’s true!)

Victoria + Joseph were married not too long ago at the lovely Japanese style Hakone Garden in Saratoga, California.  Victoria is a designer by trade and had a clear vision for her wedding day which was fulfilled beautifully.
