Lisa + James are a husband and wife photography team based in San Francisco, California. Working together on wedding, maternity & infant, editorial and fine art photography, we love what we do.

James began his photographic career after obtaining a BFA in Photograhy in 1993. He spent several years in Los Angeles working in commercial studios shooting mostly swim wear, dance wear and other catalog work.  It didn’t take long however to grow weary of LA traffic, smog and heat, so he convinced Lisa to move north with him.

Lisa started coordinating weddings in 2001 and has since worked on hundreds of weddings as a planner, coordinator and designer.  On New Year’s Eve of 2006,  Lisa shot her first wedding with James and she found it challenging, fun and creatively exciting.  Since then she has been James’ second shooter on dozens of weddings.

Together, Lisa + James make a wonderful team.  Is Lisa the yin and James the yang? Or is  James the yang and Lisa the yin?  It’s hard to say, but whatever the dynamic in their relationship is, it is working.
